Teaching Children About God and Focus on Jesus - Whose Job Is It?

Teaching Children to Focus on God .. Whose Job Is It?

All I can share is the very "fact" that as a child I came from what most would call a "Good Catholic Family" .. we went to church every Sunday .. our parents sent us to Catholic Schools and spent a lot of hard earned money on what we were told was a good Catholic education ..

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM .. was that we did not learn to focus on The God of The Bible .. or how to "listen and learn" what God wanted us to know and understand - Our Parents Told Us That Only A Priest Could Tell Us What Was In The Bible .. ONLY THE PRIEST could "interpret God's Word - How Sad!

Listening to God is one of the most important skills we can ever acquire .. or teach our children. When believers know how to hear Him, they become much less vulnerable to temptation. Early childhood is the ideal time for someone to learn how to focus on the Lord. If children don’t start this training as kids, it becomes more difficult as they go into their teen and young adult years.

Here are some practical ways to train your children to focus on God, an important step in learning to hear His voice.

Preschool Children

Encourage preschoolers to pray throughout the day. This will set a pattern of daily communication with the Lord. But because their attention spans are short—usually just one minute per year of life—guide them toward short prayers of gratitude. For example:

“Thank You, God, for the pretty flowers.”
“Thank You, God, for the yummy ice cream cone!”
“Thank You, God, for our family.”

Prayers like these lay a foundation of thankfulness to God as the wonderful Creator of good things. Philippians 4:6 reminds us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (emphasis added). You will find that most preschoolers love to express thanks to God.

Find a good Bible geared to preschoolers, and read it to your children regularly. Kids love listening to stories and looking at pictures from an age-appropriate, well-written Bible storybook. For ages 1-3, try The Beginner’s Bible, and for older pre-schoolers, try The Jesus Storybook Bible. Once your children are past the book-tearing phase, you can let them look at the pictures and “read” the Bible on their own. A good children’s Bible will help them develop a love for God’s Word.

Elementary Students

Elementary school kids should also have their own copy of the Scriptures. Look for a children’s Bible in an easy-to-comprehend translation designed for elementary students. (NIV Adventure Bible is a great resource.) Even before children become Christians, they can read the Word and ask God to help them understand it. You may want to guide your children to passages with clear application so they don’t get bogged down in difficult sections of Scripture.

Give them their own prayer journals. Then encourage them to ask God to help them understand a particular Bible passage and how to apply it to their lives. Have them write down anything God reveals. (But don’t expect too much—early
elementary students might write just one to three sentences.)

When you pray with your child before bed, get on your knees with them. (Also let them “catch” you on your knees in prayer during your times alone with God.) Kneeling helps us concentrate on Him and hear Him better, and is one way we can demonstrate humility before the Lord.

Encourage kids to write down some of their prayers. Have them begin with simply keeping a list of requests and the ways God answers. As children mature, you can encourage them to write out their prayers as letters to the Lord.

Last, don’t forget to pray for your children as they begin the life-long journey of listening to God’s voice. It’s not always easy to focus on the Father’s message to us, but it is definitely worth the effort!

A Life Challenge - How Can I Forgive Myself ? ( Forgiving Ourselves )

The Challenge: How Can I Forgive Myself? ( Forgiving Ourselves )

Today Understand ( 1 John 3:20 ) - Our hearts may judge us. But God is greater than our hearts. He knows everything.

Have you ever heard someone say, “I know God has forgiven me, but I’ll never be able to forgive myself”? While such self-condemnation can spring from several sources, it is, in any case, an enemy the Lord has already defeated. Romans 8:1 tells us, “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This encouraging statement covers all condemnation, including self-recrimination. How, then, should we deal with those condemning voices?

First of all, we need to distinguish between remorse and guilt. We are right to feel sorrow and remorse for past deeds, sins against our spouse, our brother or sister, and especially those sins that affront God - but to carry guilt for them is not necessary.

The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us (1 John 1:9). Any lingering feelings of guilt after this are enemies trying to rob us of our freedom in Christ Jesus - sometimes these feelings of guilt stem from the mistaken notion that we still must pay for our sins, we must perform some "pennance" or perform some acts  .. so we unconsciously embrace perpetual remorse as a way to make restitution for past wrongdoings  .. Such a practice suggests the faulty idea that Jesus’ precious blood was not sufficient to cover all of our sins - past, present, and future. Once we finally realize that He has stamped “paid in full” on our account, then we must never dare to side with those who would have us believe otherwise.

Since our heavenly Father has given us His Word - THE GOOD NEWS - we can reject all accusing voices and rest on His promise: “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things” (1 John 3:20 NKJV).

Take time and search around this site -- look at the "thought conditioners" if you are batteling unforgiveness .. stay in God's Good News .. and be fed by the Bread of Life .. and drink The Living Water ..

How Do I Love My Mother - no matter what has happened.

How to Love Your Mother

Some of us .. although not all of us oldtimers - showed Mom our love with hugs, drawings, and snuggling up .. But now that we’re adults, some of us are uncertain how to demonstrate love to our mother because at times our relationship is challenging at best - trying to meet her needs as she ages, or becomes terminally ill, needs constant care ( like you did as a baby ) .. these times can be emotionally draining, time consuming and very expensive to say the least .. Or perhaps you carry resentment over past experiences of conflict, mistreatment, rejection or even what your therapist calls child abuse .. and now there is a barrier between you and your mother.

Despite your past history and even present challenges - we cannot ignore the Bible’s command to honor our parents (Eph. 6:2). Here are four beautiful suggestions that have come to me today from my Friend in Christ - Dr. Charles Stanley .. he suggests four ways to respect and love your mother regardless of what has happened in your relationship.

Love her patiently.  There are no perfect mothers. We all make mistakes and carry emotional baggage that shapes our actions and responses. Just consider how patiently God deals with you, and do the same with your mom. When is the last time you genuinely "prayed" for your mother?

Treat her kindly. Rudeness only reveals our own imperfections and does nothing to benefit Mom or improve your relationship with her. Consider how Jesus has treated you .. then ask Him for strength to be more like Him in these things ..

Act unselfishly. We are called to follow Christ’s example of selfless service instead of seeking convenience or our own comfort.

Remember that love requires forgiveness. Holding a grudge not only poisons us; it also prevents a good relationship from developing. Have you been forgiven much in your life? .. to those who have been given much - Much Is Expected In Return ..

Now, all this sounds impossible, and it actually is - except by The Power offered to each of us from Jesus Christ living His life through you and I .. Jesus loved His Mom .. and He knows exactly how to love your mom. And He will guide and empower you to respond as He would, if you will yield control of your life to Him.. and ASK, SEEK .. and KNOCK. (Matthew 7:7-11)

Mothers are SPECIAL GIFTS - from the Most High God!

I recall some years ago .. hearing someone preach a sermon about being a real man .. and saying ..
"The Greatest Thing a Man can do for his children is love their mother."

Psalm 139:13 .. says it this way - 13 You created the deepest parts of my being.
You put me together inside my mother’s body

and then The First Promise God made about "mothers" .. in Exodus 20:12  .. 12 “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long time in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

In honor of the day we celebrate as MOTHERS DAY .. I offer my rendition of Proverbs 31:10-30 ..
The Noble Wife ( a  Godly Mother ) ..

10 Who can find a noble wife? ( or mother ) .. She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband trusts her completely. She gives him all the important things he needs.
12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She chooses wool and flax. She loves to work with her hands.
14 She is like the ships of traders. She brings her food from far away.
15 She gets up while it is still dark. She provides food for her family.
She also gives some to her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it. She uses some of the money she earns to plant a vineyard.
17 She gets ready to work hard. Her arms are strong.
18 She sees that her trading earns a lot of money. Her lamp doesn’t go out at night.
19 With one hand she holds the wool. With the other she spins the thread.
20 She opens her arms to those who are poor. She reaches out her hands to those who are needy.
21 When it snows, she’s not afraid for her family. All of them are dressed in the finest clothes.
22 She makes her own bed coverings. She is dressed in fine linen and purple clothes.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate. There he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen clothes and sells them. She supplies belts to the traders.
25 She puts on strength and honor as if they were her clothes. She can laugh at the days that are coming.
26 She speaks wisely. She teaches faithfully.
27 She watches over family matters. She is busy all the time.
28 Her children stand up and call her blessed. Her husband also rises up, and he praises her.
29 He says, “Many women do noble things. But you are better than all the others.”
30 Charm can fool you. Beauty fades. But a woman who has respect for the Lord should be praised.

Learning to Pray - Praying with Jesus Each Day

I have heard it said .. we learn to pray by praying. And we are helped in prayer by the Holy Spirit, who “tunes” our prayers to the very heart of Christ, teaching us to pray as Jesus would.

How does this work? .. Just imagine Jesus standing or sitting next to you .. praying for you. Then imagine you are listening to the ONE who knows you bteer than you know yourself .. listen in ... What would He say to the Father on your behalf?

How would He plead for you? - would He say something like  ... Our Father Who Art in Heaven hallowed be your name! Father I know you are Jehovah Shamma, Our God who is always with us .. you are our Closest Friend - I know you are always "here" with us ..

NOW  .. as you picture Jesus in prayer for you and with you .. look at Jesus and say  “Lord Jesus, I know You are interceding for me right now. What are You praying for?” Then listen -- under the leading of the Holy Spirit, your mind and heart will open up to those things that you should be praying about .. maybe someone you work with, a mom or dad, brother or sister , husband or wife .. or son or daughter .. grandchildren .. THY KINGDOM COME .. Thy Will Be Done .. I listen, and I order my prayers as the Spirit leads, seeking to pray as Jesus taught us to pray ..

Have you ever wondered HOW Jesus might pray .. for you? Let me give you a hint. Look through the window of John chapter 17, and see what Jesus prayed for you and for me on the last night of His life. He interceded on our behalf to the Father, asking that we might be one with Him and with God the Father, and that on the basis of that unity, the world might believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He also prayed that we would know we are loved by God with the same love which He has for His only Son. Listen to the heart of Jesus as He prays.

In closing .. please keep us in your prayers too!

Today, Tomorrow, Someday - When Do You Set Things Right?

Today .. Yesterday .. or Some Tomorrow - which do you seek?

Reality of this day .. today .. OR yesterdays pictures .. which do you look at? The Lord says - If "today" you hear my voice - DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART!

Did Jesus ever depreciate the past history of the Jewish peoples .. the prophets, the history of the sactuary, the ark of the covenant and all it's components - a giant tapestry of Jesus Christ - The Way, The Truth and The Life. Let's take the large brazen alter made and designated for "sacrifice" .. where the lambs without blemish were sacrificed - another picture of Jesus - The Lamb of God.

The Tabernacle Itself - THe Holy Place, with the Golden Lampstand, and the table of Showbread .. the bread for the priest .. and The Alter of Incense .. what is this all about? Salvation? .. Cleansing? .. Holiness? .. or as you go deeper - Jesus Christ .. the One who lights our path .. the One who sustains us .. the One Perfect "sacrifice" ..

What about the SECOND VEIL .. and the Holy of Holies .. with the Ark of the Covenant .. the Mercy Seat of God .. how do we pass through the veil, and how does God commune and meet men?

Now look at Jesus .. The Way, The Truth and The Life - Jesus is Our Mercy Seat .. Jesus is Our High Priest .. Jesus is Our Atonement .. Jesus is Our Provider .. and as you look at the "historical Jewish record" .. God's relationship with His people .. all sinners .. and how people longed for "atonement" .. a ritual of the Jews .. fancy robes, precious stones .. lots of beauty, power and symbols of strength .. The High Priest doing all his daily sacrifices .. bloody sacrifices .. then the High Priest cleansed himself and he put on "pure white linen" .. a symbol of holiness and purity .. here you see Jesus again ... The Perfection of Jesus Our High Priest - the One Who Atoned for Our Sins - the One Who "intercedes" for us .. El Yeshuatenu, The God of Our Salvation .. The fullnes of Jehovah Tsidkenu - The God of Righteousness .. The God of Holiness .. Jehovah M'Kaddish - and The fullness of God having become man - we call His Name - Jesus!

Today what do you seek? Are you looking for salvation Today .. something you need to talk with God about some yesterday in your life .. or maybe you are trying to consider what you think might come in some tomorrow? For whom are you looking? Who do you seek?

The Lord says .. If today you are here .. read Hebrews 3:12-15 ..
12 Brothers and sisters, make sure that none of you has a sinful heart. Do not let an unbelieving heart turn you away from the living God. 13 But build one another up every day. Do it as long as there is still time. Then none of you will become stubborn. You won’t be fooled by sin’s tricks. 14 We belong to Christ if we hold firmly to the faith we had at first. But we must hold to it until the end. 15 It has just been said,

Listen to his voice today.
If you hear it, don’t be stubborn.
You were stubborn when you opposed me.” ( Psalm 95:7,8 )

In closing .. Hebrews 9:11-14

Some Proven Time Tested TRUTHS - IED and IESD - how alike are they.

Some Proven Time-Tested TRUTHS .. in my inbox today.

From the old days.. God's Word in Genesis 2:24 says .. That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. The two of them will become one. No doubt that God made "sex" .. and He meant it to be between a man and a woman in a totally committed life relationship .. and in our modern day - we call that .. marriage.

Corinthians 6:12-19 .. is a good reading on "Sexual Sin" .. I  don't have any idea how many times I have either thought about this passage of scripture .. or read it .. or prayed about it - but the bottom line is obvious - men are weak when it comes to sex, sexual sin, the opposite sex - cakll it any way you want - WE ARE WEAKLINGS!

The shrapnel and penetrating fragments of this IESD .. what I will call an "improvised explosive sexual device"  .. or better known to men as WOMAN .. in so many ways sexual sins are like an IESD .. they are hidden .. they are sometimes deployed in ways that are hidden .. and your interaction with one is "unforgetable" .. sensitive and undeniably personal. It involves our body and our very soul.

Personally, I don't believe that men or women can ever be, comfortably distanced from it - when it's right we know in our knower .. and when not right, "we know that deep within" something is not right - That makes sexual sin especially complex.

But let's get one thing very straight - VERY QUICKLY - There is no hierarchy of sins - there is no sin that is more acceptable to God than another sin - because no sin at all is acceptable to Our Father in Heaven .. But because sexual sin is a sin not only against God, but against our very own bodies, its consequences can be more devastating to us than those of other sins. If you steal a loaf of bread because your kids are starving this sin is outside of oneself. For instance, when Hitler was systematically attacking the continent of Europe during World War II, allied forces joined in a united defense. American soldiers fought and died on foreign soil, and the conflict certainly took its toll on our country, but we sustained nowhere near the damage that Britain or Austria or Poland suffered. Why?

Because the devastating losses and battles were not fought on our homeland soil. By contrast, battles over sexual sin are always fought at home - within the very soil of our own physical bodies and within our own psyche .. our vey own human soul, mind, and spirit.
There is no escaping the shrapnel and damage of sexual sin. Sex outside of God’s established parameters impoverishes a man or woman the way a war at home impoverishes a nation in many ways - we are all affected, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually .. because sex is probably the closest and most personal thing we possess - We can’t get away from it, it is deep within us.

iF YOU'LL READ Proverbs 31:3 ABOUT Sexual Sins .. YOU WILL BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND .. and if you pray and seek God's Wisdom in the matter .. He will help you to better see and understand - that is the promise God makes to all of us about seeking Him.

What would you say if someone said - “No one has ever told me about this Jesus.”?

What would you say if someone said - “No one has ever told me about this Jesus.”?

Can you imagine going through life and never hearing about Jesus?

Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslim nation, The Middle East and Africa are full of people whose lives go on - without hearing the name of Jesus .. without the opportunity of satisfying their  hunger and need for the Gospel. We don't have any satellites to expand our broadcasting outreach .. we can't launch a new branch of .. with Indonesian subtitles. God’s love is poured out upon this spiritually hungry nation and these people the only way I know how - The World Wide Web.. it reaches to the Philippines .. all the Japanese and Sinhala (Sri Lanka) folks .. and all we can offer is Google Translate .. I guess we're called “global media missionaries”  .. because we try our best to take the Good News of Jesus Christ into remote regions of the world where the internet is now reaching ..

I hope and pray thart God is transforming lives .. using this global outreach ministry to transform lives. I hope that Muslims are finding Jesus Christ - if all this effort is responsible for bringing ONE PERSON to Jesus .. then it's all been worth it! New Christians are growing in the faith and maybe some "persecuted Christians" in Syria, Iran or Saudi Arabia  .. may be finding hope and strength .. or discovering The Name of The Most High God .

Any investment you make will help makes it possible for us to keep paying the bills for hosting and web services. God Bless You Today!

NAME STUDY .. Learning of God - Learn of His Name - Our God Reveals Himself

Psalm 62 - Psalm 62:1-2

I find my rest in God alone.
He is the One who saves me.
He alone is my rock. He is the One who saves me.
He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure.

EXAMPLE: Take a Psalm of David .. like a part of Psalm 62 above, and read it .. or read the entire Psalm, and then take those areas where the Psalmist speaks of GOD .. or attributes a description or phrase to God .. like "the One Who saves" .. or "my rock" .. or "like a fort to me"  ..

Now take that descriptive phrase and use the Names of God .. and search out the best and most appropraite "Name of God" .. to fit that phrase or description and discover what The God of Heaven .. The Creator of All .. will reveal of Himself to you.

Pray and ASK GOD .. as you read .. to give you "eyes to see" .. and "ears to hear" .. and "ears to see" .. and "eyes to hear" ..

rest in God alone - ELOHIM - The first use of Elohim is found in Genesis 1:1 which reads “In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heaven and the earth,...” and that name is used exclusively from Genesis 1:1 through Genesis 2:3. It occurs over 2,550 times in the entire Old Testament .. take a moment and read here ..

the One who saves - go where you wish .. and take any "Name of God" .. and learn and listen .. as God, by His Holy Spirit .. will take you ..

my rock. - now study this term "my rock" .. The Name of God - "El Sali" - The God of My Strength -  (Psalm 42:10) My Rock... now if you read in 1 Peter, you will begin to understand that Jesus was also known as Our Rock, The Rock of our salvation .. see Psalm 18:2 -

2 The Lord is my rock and my fort. He is the One who saves me.
My God is my rock. I go to him for safety.
He is like a shield to me. He’s the power that saves me. He’s my place of safety.

Why God is bigger than your circumstances .. because He says so .. ask God to help your "unbelief" .. PSALM 62:6 ..  ASK GOD? .. what do you want me to hear about you today? ... Our Father .. what should I be looking for? .. What should I be listening for from you today? ..

Father in Heaven .. help me to see you today as the great "I AM" .. not a "little god" like the many "gods" in my life - but "The Great God" .. El Haggodol .. Jehovah Elohim .. El Shaddei ...

God can and will work through you in a wonderful way .. if YOU INVITE HIM INTO YOUR LIFE ..

OUR GOD IS GREATER THAN  .. a series of problems .. a low self esteem .. the problems in the lives of our family .. any force that is coming against you .. evil thoughts and desires in your life .. your circumstances .. the worries of today that occupy your mind .. or the wrong passions that tend to drive you .. give a listen and see ..

You don’t have to be a preacher to know and understand that God is bigger, greater and more powerful than all your circumstances .. Give God His Rightful Place In Your Life Today

Startled and Unusual - The Walking Dead or The Living Christ - You Choose

Startled and Unusual .. to say the least! You know, when you read about Jesus in the Bible .. the one thing that amazes me .. is how we as "men" .. somehow think .. and believe that Jesus had not "seen it all" .. or ever dealt with whatever it is we feel too ashamed to talk with Him about ..

If you read in the Gospel of Mark .. Mark 4:35-41 .. you can get a mind picture of the "front story" .. Jesus Calms the Storm .. when all the big, burley strong fishermen were all afraid of the storm .. they thought they were going down .. Jesus "calmed the storm" .. then looks what comes next - Mark 5:1-19 .. Jesus and His disciples had just crossed the Sea of Galilee by boat and Jesus had just miraculously calmed the fierce storm. Everything was "cool" .. or was it? .. Maybe that storm was an attempt by Satan to keep Jesus from reaching the other side because he somehow Satan considered it his turf? ..  Maybe you're having storms in your life too and the most relevant question is WHY? .. maybe Satan thinks .. you are his turf because of all the years you have led a sinful life?

As they land on the shore .. consider the "welcome" that they get at the area of the Gerasenes... Jesus got out of the boat. A man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. The man lived in the tombs. No one could keep him tied up anymore. Not even a chain could hold him. His hands and feet had often been chained. But he tore the chains apart. And he broke the iron cuffs on his ankles. No one was strong enough to control him. Night and day he screamed among the tombs and in the hills. He cut himself with stones - Now, there's something you don't see every day. You visit a new town, and the first person you meet is a naked demoniac who comes running out of a cemetery screaming at you.

You know, some people watch TV shows like The Walking Dead or The Vampire diaries .. or some such nonsense .. and in their heart of hearts they "minimize" evil .. JUST READ ABOUT WHAT JESUS DID ..

First of all, we need to understand that demonic spirits are real and that they really can and do influence people's lives. How do we know that this man was demon possessed? Consider Jesus' first words to him .. Keep in mind here that Jesus is not addressing the man - Jesus is speaking only and directly to the demonic forces that had come to inhabit this pitiful individual:

9 Then Jesus asked the demon, “What is your name?”  “My name is Legion,” he replied. “There are many of us.”  ( historians tell that a Roman legion was some 6,800 soldiers!) .. I'm sure you know how this story ends. Jesus casts the horde of unclean spirits out of the man and into a nearby herd of about 2,000 pigs. which promptly proceeded to run off a cliff into the ocean.

I'm directing your attention to this story because it is an extreme, and clear example of how unclean demonic spirits can take up residence in the life of a person and influence his or her behavior for the worse. We're living in a day in which fewer and fewer people believe that demonic spirits exist. And many well-meaning Christians have been taught that demons can't have any influence on a Christian. I was certainly taught that in the Catholic Schools I attended .. But I have learned the hard way that it's not true - The Devil is real and his input and lies are real - I've also learned that it's possible to be free of him and his lies, and that getting free makes a huge difference .. and it's all in the "blood covering of Jesus ..

Consider the radical difference for that man who encountered Jesus .. as the LEGION OF EVIL PLEADED .. 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area. 11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs. Let us go into them.” 13 Jesus allowed it. The evil spirits came out of the man and went into the pigs. There were about 2,000 pigs in the herd. The whole herd rushed down the steep bank. They ran into the lake and drowned. 14 Those who were tending the pigs ran off. They told the people in the town and countryside what had happened. The people went out to see for themselves. 15 Then they came to Jesus. They saw the man who had been controlled by many demons. He was sitting there. He was now dressed and thinking clearly. All this made the people afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told them what had happened to the man. They told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to beg Jesus to leave their area. 18 Jesus was getting into the boat. The man who had been controlled by demons begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him. He said, “Go home to your family. Tell them how much the Lord has done for you. Tell them how kind he has been to you.”

We're living in a day in which fewer and fewer people believe that demonic spirits even exist .. then every now and then you hear some horrible news story about someone who murdered their family .. or whatever .. and they say something like - The demons in my head kept telling me to do it .... It's not like the old Flip Wilson comedy show in my day where "Geraldine" character had a famous TV line - "the devil made me do it" .. we all laughed and we thought it was all so funny .. BUT IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE .. I've seen too much in my life to .. and learned that the old story we learned about "fallen angels" is not some way out there fantasy - God's Word suggests that one-third of the angels fell when they joined Lucifer's failed rebellion. (See Hebrews 12:22 and Revelation 12:4.); Now math isn't my strong suit, but even I can calculate that if one-third of the angels joined Satan's team, then two-thirds remained allied with God. This also means that for every one that's against me, there are two for me. We've got them outnumbered two to one! Even so, we need to be aware of the existence and activity of demons. We need to recognize their strategies - THEY ARE NOT "everywhere at once" .. like Our God .. who is "omnipresent" ..

I'm not talking about being the kind of person who perceives a demon behind every bush - some today go to extremes. or on the opposite hand, some folks think where demons are concerned there is skepticism and superstition .. the skeptics doubt that demons are real and can influence them .. the superstitious people attribute everything to demonic activity. The word demon appears 82 times in the New King James Version of the Bible. Sixty-one of these occurrences are in the Gospels. ASK YOURSELF - Why such frequency?

I think we see it so much in the Gospels because no one ever had authority over the demons .. until Jesus came. Jesus has "all authority" .. just read .. Matthew 28:17-19 .. and when He entered into His ministry Jesus immediately started to identify and confront the  demonic strongholds and the things that held people in bondage. In closing, please let me tell you about the very, very good news of Jesus Christ - If there is some area of your life where you seem to fail again and again ... if there is some destructive pattern that replays itself in your life over and over ... that's a form of bondage. The good news is, you can be free! Why live another day beneath your privileges as a son or daughter of God?
