Son of God – Jesus Christ – Son of the Most High

What would happen if you applied the lessons from events in Jesus’ life – temptation, suffering, death, resurrection—to your own? Would you come to know Him more intimately and with a greater understanding of your purpose? Would you embody more completely the mission, love, and mind of Jesus? … http://sharesonofgod.com/

From the creators of ‘The Bible’ miniseries, ‘Son of God’ will explore the life of Jesus Christ from his birth through the resurrection using selections of the miniseries as well as deleted scenes. The film features powerful performances, exotic locales, dazzling visual effects and a rich orchestral score. It’s first motion picture about Jesus’ life since Passion of the Christ released ten years ago. Coming to Theaters February 28

Visiting with friends .. and watching the Son of God – the MOVIE is a great way for you to build awareness about the Son of the Most High God – Son of God is the first major feature film portraying the whole life of Jesus Christ in nearly 50 years, since The Greatest Story Ever Told came out in the 60s. This is one of the most anticipated movies of the year… and will surely create a lot of 20 century “buzz” .. after all it was Jesus Himself who promised in his discourse on the kingdom mission – Jesus indicates his view that persecution and proclamation are inseparable (see likewise Acts or Paul’s letters, such as Paul’s defense of his apostleship in 2 Cor 11:23-33).

True ministry involves suffering, especially if it is a frontline ministry to nonbelievers – and this movie will confront all of us – so-called church going Christians .. and true believers alike – Yet as Jesus reminds us in the next section, the worst our opponents can do to us is kill us, and we will die anyway with or without their persecution (Mt 10:24-33). Because persecution is a guarantee for a true disciple (2 Tim 3:12), we may question the strength of our witness if we are not experiencing any (compare, for example, Mt 5:11-12; Acts 5:41; 14:22; Gal 5:11; 1 Thess 3:3; Rev 1:9 … remembering though these are most applicable where the gospel seriously violates long-standing cultural traditions – so I invite all my Jewish and Islamic friends to watch and listen .. then respond.

As you watch .. consider the following .. and the fact that Jesus is the “fullness” of God and became man .. The bible Outlines Eight (8) Redemptive Names of God .. ask yourself if you can see JESUS in these “NAMES” ..

JEHOVAH-JIREH – “The Lord our provider” – This is also the name Abraham gave to the place where the Lord provided a sacrifice in place of Isaac. (Gen. 22:14). Jehovah – Jireh: The Lord Who Provides Jehovah-Jireh,

JEHOVAH-NISSI – “Our banner, a banner of love and protection” – Also the name Moses gave to the altar he built after defeating the Amalekites (Ex. 17:15). – Jehovah –Nissi: The Lord Our Banner- Name Jehovah-Nissi;

JEHOVAH-SHALOM – “Our perfect peace” – Also the name Gideon gave to the altar he built at Ophrah (Judges 6:24) – Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord is Peace

JEHOVAH-TSID-KENU – “The Lord is our righteousness” – The name is applied to a future Davidic king who would lead his people to do what is right and thus bring peace (Jeremiah 23:6) and to the restored city of Jerusalem (Jeremiah 33:16). The name is possibly a play on the name of Zedekiah (“Righteous [is] the Lord”) who reigned from 597 to 587 B.C.. – Jehovah-Tsidkenu: The Lord Our Righteousness

JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH – “The One Who is with us everywhere for He is Omnipresent” – The Jerusalem of Ezekiel’s vision (see Ezekiel 48:35 margin) was known by this name. Compare text at Isaiah 60:19-20 and Revelation 21:3.

JEHOVAH-SABAOTH – “The Lord of Hosts, our Protector.” C.H. Spurgeon said this about the phrase “The Lord of Hosts: The Lord rules the angels, the stars, the elements, and all the hosts of Heaven; and the Heaven of heavens is under His sway… [the Lord] is on our side — our august Ally; woe unto those who fight against Him, for they shall flee like smoke before the wind when He gives the word to scatter them.”

JEHOVAH-RAAH – “Our Shepherd Who tenderly leads us, loves us and will keep us safe.” – the famous Psalm 23 tells us that “The Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want….” Being illustrated as a shepherd implies a relationship with His sheep (His believers). The term shepherd appears approximately 80 times in the Scriptures, denotating meanings of: feeder, keeper, companion, friend, pastor and herdsman. – Jehovah-Rohi: The Lord is My Shepherd

JEHOVAH RAPHA – – “I am the Lord Your Physician or I am the Lord Your Healer – this name especially was a Name God prophetically spoke about Himself, not one that someone gave Him. Exodus 15:26. Jehovah – Rapha: The Lord Who Heals
