No one can get to the Father .. unless we come through Jesus .. so how do we do thet? Is that narrow minded? Who is Jesus .. that he made that statement? Our “understanding” of this statement will help us figure it out .. God Our Father is “LIGHT” .. God is “unapproachable light” – no one can ever see Him .. no one can approach God unless in the “Spirit” ..
Consider God’s Word in Colossians 1:13-16, (NIRV): 13 He has saved us from the kingdom of darkness. He has brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves. 14 Because of what the Son has done, we have been set free. Because of him, all of our sins have been forgiven. Christ Is Far Above Everything 15 Christ is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. He is first, and he is over all of creation. 16 All things were created by him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. Everything was created by him and for him.
Now consider 1 Timothy 6:13-16, (NIRV): 13 God gives life to everything. Christ Jesus told the truth when he gave witness to Pontius Pilate. In the sight of God and Christ, I give you a command. 14 Obey it until our Lord Jesus Christ appears. Obey it completely. Then no one can find fault with it or you. 15 God will bring Jesus back at a time that pleases him. God is the blessed and only Ruler. He is the greatest King of all. He is the most powerful Lord of all. 16 God is the only one who can’t die. He lives in light that no one can get close to. No one has seen him. No one can see him. Give honor and power to him forever. Amen.
So BRILLIANT .. so BRIGHT .. This Light Cannot Be Looked Upon .. you cannot look into this “LIGHT” .. HOWEVER .. Jesus became “man” and Jesus is the “fullness” of God become man ..
Try this excercise .. imagine you are looking at a large perfectly clear diamond .. and as the light hits the diamond and passes through the facets and into your eyes .. you will be given “glimpses” of the Character of God Himself if you will look and study God’s NAME as He has revealed it in His Word .. let God’s Light by the power of His Holy Spirit “reveal” the images to you ..
EXAMPLE TO TEST .. Begin with one “NAME” .. for example the revealed Name of Jehovah Shammah – Our God and Our Ever-Present Friend, Our God Who NEVER Abandons us .. nor ever forsakes us ..
NOW .. for a simple moment think of this from Psalm 91 as God Speaks:
I rescue all who cling to me, I protect whoever knows my name, I answer everyone who invokes me, .. now consider the “Name” – Jehovah Shammah .. and you will begin to see a facet of Spiritual Light .. in Jesus Name I Pray ..
