If any of you need wisdom, ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone. He doesen't find fault. James 1:5 (NIRV)

Women – how does God Feel about women personally?

Have you cut yourself off from those around you?  .. Take hold of your Savior’s hand today, and start experiencing the joy of His acceptance  .. as you see Jesus Talking With a Woman From Samaria at the well.

Do women seek to be wanted? .. or to be UNDERSTOOD? .. Understanding – so that a woman does not feel the need to have to explain herself .. Women want a friend – Right?

Women want to feel special, right? .. they expect “Honesty” .. but not too much of it if it’s personal .. right?

Caring women want a man to “KNOW” .. that she matters – right? .. and they want a man of “Strength” – especially strength of Character – right? .. and one who has “Compassion” and can show her He is capable of loving – true?

Now Read This Story from …  John 4:1-16

One reason women at times have a weak view of men is because of their weak view of Jesus. Our Faith “view of Jesus” begins with our faith view of God is sometimes faulty… and that might be for many various and sundry reasons – where we live, our age, how we were taught and so forth – or maybe the real world view of our own father? We’ve heard the prayer .. Our Father In Heaven – Hallowed Be Thy Name — right? .. so it’s not totally surprising, after all, GOD IS BIG .. He is so out there .. how could we ever truly get an accurate picture of what GOD looks like? … How Does GOD act? .. or HOW DOES GOD FEEL about us personally?

Knowing that we would need a way to understand Him, our heavenly Father revealed Himself through His Son – JESUS .. And when scripture syas ..  “the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).  The better we get to know Jesus, the more we will understand the Father (14:9). And when we take a look at the way Jesus treated the people around Him, we get a good illustration of God’s love.

Think about the woman at the well in today’s Scripture passage. This was a person who had been outcast by society … The fact that she came to draw water during the heat of the day (4:6), a time when no one else would be around, indicates that her exclusion from the townspeople was not just their idea; she herself felt the need to stay isolated. – maybe today you feel “isolated” .. imagine what women in the Middle east must feel .. women in China .. isolated .. outcasts .. of little value? .. Poor Self image?

But what did Jesus do?  .. pay very close attention to How Jesus Treats Women ..

He loved her. He accepted her. He gave her what no one else would give: attention and respect. That is what Jesus does for us as well – all of us! The Lord does not want us burdened by guilt, shame, or heartache. Nor does He want us to be secluded from other people. Instead, He calls us to become active participants in His kingdom … The Kingdom of God that is within you .. and about you ..

Have you cut yourself off from those around you? Take hold of your Savior’s hand today, and start experiencing the joy of His acceptance.

WOMAN .. WOMEN .. God Knows What You Need, Better Than Men – why is it that you do not turn to Him first? ..
