Maybe it’s time we all try to look to the Light of The World ( Jesus Christ ) and ASK GOD to reveal and shed some “light” through The Power and Glory of His Holy Name! God’s is “light” – PURE LIGHT – and there is no darkness in Him. As you read .. study .. look at His very “names” .. the power in His Name will in and of itself, reveal His Light to you as God has promised as in Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Having a relationship with God Our Father is not intended to overwhelm your existence, but to guide each of us to a better understanding of Who God “Our Father” is and His “nature” and His very character. God’s Promises – are straightforward and simple to understand!
God’s Word and His Message is “not hidden” .. God’s Word will help you answer all your questions. It explains itself, by The Power of Itself ( Isaiah 55:11 ) .. and The Word Made Flesh (Jesus) as it says in John 1:14 .. “The Word became a human being. He made his home with us. We have seen his glory. It is the glory of the one and only Son. He came from the Father. And he was full of grace and truth.”
The Light of God’s Name .. and The “meanings” of His “character revelations” .. will by it’s very nature influence how you see yourself and how you see others and how others will see you – If you will but spend a few minutes in the study of God’s Names you’ll know in your “knower” .. what God is trying to say to you.

If God’s Light is shining in you as a “new believer” .. then you might consider comparing yourself to a diamond vs. that old “lump of coal” that is now past away. Now as you set out to discover some things about yourself and your new life in Christ, Jesus – you will allow God to do the cut, color, and clarity in your life. You might be asking God about things like how you might transmit God’s light of truth and His Word – to those around you. Remember – the shape, cut, color, brightness and radiant beauty of a diamond’s form and clarity is “viewed from above” .. maybe here is a good time to consider HOW GOD “sees” you? .. and a time to figure out in prayer how to break off the past lies, negative strongholds, past addictions, shame and anything else that is holding you back from unlocking the door to your heart and let Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit into your life ..
You see – you and I are like rough cut diamonds and we all have different attributes, imperfections, a different “cut” that makes us unique – all determined by the master diamond maker – GOD! Put simply, the better a diamond is cut the more “brilliance” or “sparkle” it will have. If God does not make mistakes and he is the ONE who made you .. then He Alone has a specific purpose for His Light to “pass through you” for others to see.. and maybe what you are looking for is an “Unbiased” grading report – Look No Farther .. simply look to God! … and the best way I have ever found is to “look into God’s Character .. as He “revealed Himself” .. in His Holy Name!
In ancient times .. in the Old Testament .. in all of man’s history .. a name was not only identification, but an identity as well. Many timesa special meaning was attached to the name – even before one’s birth .. Names had, among other purposes, an explanatory purpose (e.g., Nabal, whose name means “fool,” is the target of Abigail’s explanation to David: “For as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him:” (1Sa 25:25).
Throughout Scripture God reveals Himself to us through His Names. When we study these names that He reveals to us in the Bible, we will better understand who God really is .. more of The Character of GOD .. The meanings behind God’s Name as revealed will illuminate the central personality and nature of the One Who Bears Them – and remember that Jesus Christ is the “fullness” of God become man!
Consider this thought and Word from John 10:30 (NIRV) .. 30 I and the Father are one.” .. JESUS is the “fullness” of God. The Lamb of God, The Word Made Flesh .. the Second Person of The Holy Trinity – THE SON OF GOD .. and by and thru His “blood” sacrifice as The Lamb of God at Calvary – Jesus not only made a new “covenant” – HE BECAME THAT NEW COVENANT WITH GOD!
Remember in John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So Iask this question? .. What child cannot go to his father and ASK, SEEK .. or KNOCK?

ASK YOURSELF SOME QUESTIONS? .. How can you have a “relationship” with someone you do not know? .. OR How can we become “friends” with someone and not even know their NAME? .. As sinners, we are alienated from God .. estranged from him .. sin and corruption cannot enjoy or be in GOD’S presence – But because he is “All Good” .. and “All Loving” – God acted decisively to end our alienation and restore us to his household.
God sets the terms: God is the one who sets the terms of this relationship. He tells us in advance what he will do .. and makes us free to respond to his terms. The terms God has set are these: Jesus died for our sins. In a financial metaphor, he has paid for them. There is no more debt. We have been forgiven. Our works cannot add anything to it. God has in Christ acted unilaterally, reconciling all things to himself (Colossians 1:20).
and Jesus Christ “is” .. The Fullness of God become “man” .. and Jesus stated that HE came to “do the Father’s Will” .. So WHO IS THE “Father” ? .. How shall we “come to know Him” .. How shall we “call on Him”?
‘I Am Who I Am’ … Yahweh .. And the LORD said to Moses – “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”
.. so when I pray, I ask Our Father to Help Me To See JESUS .. after all .. scripture tells us that — Immanuel, means God With Us – and who is JESUS? – ‘ I am the WAY .. the TRUTH .. and the LIFE! – no one goes to the Father except through me..
